#7 of a 10 part series documenting Italian Hemp Farming in the 1920's the crop "Canapiao" 12x16 for fiber, cut by hand, gathered together into bundled.

"Canapaio" - Latin Cannabis - Harvesting hemp was a family matter as all farming was. Labor intensive but the harvest here was bountiful - it could have been hand broke but it will be taken to a river area to ret or rot - not the best smell.
